The Asian shore crab is one of three invasive crab species of concern in Delaware waters.
Marine Invasive Species are organisms that have evolved in one area and now have been moved to a new area where they are causing economic and/or environment harm. In this teacher professional development webinar, Darrick Sparks will highlight his work with marine invasive species at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center. This will be followed by an overview of a new educational activity and classroom resource on Delaware’s invasive crabs presented by David Christopher, Marine Education Specialist for Delaware Sea Grant.
