Lewes Field Workshops

The University of Delaware's Hugh R. Sharp campus in Lewes is home to a 2-megawatt wind turbine, the University of Delaware's research fleet, and numerous advanced oceanography laboratories, plus Lewes offers easy access to the Delaware Bay and ocean beaches. Programs in Lewes take advantage of these resources to give students a hands-on introduction to topics ranging from wind power to marine life to conducting science at sea.
