Bay-to-Bay Workshop
An interdisciplinary educator workshop exploring watersheds across the Delmarva Peninsula
In 2014 and 2016, 16 middle school teachers from Delaware and Maryland trekked across the Delmarva Peninsula from Tighman Island to Lewes to learn about watersheds, the varied natural environments of the Chesapeake and Delaware Bays, and how economies are built from the resources these watersheds provide. Teachers were then supported in bringing these topics back to the classroom through Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences.
